| Saturday, July 31st: Seminar - "Selling Handmade Online- Strategies and Tactics that Make All the Difference" Posted on: 05/29/2010 When: Saturday, July 31st. 10:30-am-1:30pm What: Seminar - "Selling Handmade Online - Strategies and Tactics that Make All the Difference" This is a business development seminar geared toward those who are ready to tackle selling online or for those who are currently selling online and are interested in more information. The first part of the seminar will be an overview of selling handmade online: what venues are available to do that, the pros and cons of using a comminuty like Etsy or Artfire, the pros and cons of putting up your own website, online payment options and social media/blogs. The second half of this seminar will teach you how to photograph your work to make your pictures stand out for online selling. In this portion, we will make a light box, learn how to set our cameras and take some pictures so that you will be able to comfortably transfer your skills to home use. About the instructor: Michelle Giannavola is a successful Rochester Chain Maille artisan, who has a successful internet business. After many mistakes and minor glitches, Michelle has perfected the art of selling online and is eager to help others who are curious about or are currently selling their art online to reach their full potential
Cost: $ 50 class fee and $10 material fee. Bead Breakout tools will be available for your use at class. Please bring your digital camera with you!
