Happy Holidays! Thanks to all of you who helped us celebrate our first anniversary. What fun we have had this past year at BBO with you, our customers. Thank you.
What’s happening at Bead Breakout?
Silent Auction: Come to the store for our silent auction where we are raising funds to donate to the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester. Our second bead challenge brought in fantastically creative entries which were submitted on December 1st. In October 2009 Bead Challenge participants were given a tin cone and a 5 dollar gift certificate to Bead Breakout. Participants were asked to create an entry out of their cone and any other materials purchased from Bead Breakout. The results are outstanding! So, come on in, bid, and hopefully win one of these very unique creations! (They’ll make you smile.)You have until December 16th, 2009. If you don’t want to bid on an entry, put a star on our pink tree and enjoy making a donation to the Breast Cancer Coalition during this holiday season.
New classes and instructors: January will bring some new creative projects and instructors to BBO. Karen Grabowski joins current instructor Carol Spreter in teaching gorgeous seed bead work . A wide variety of classes from beginner to advanced levels will be offered. We are also very pleased to announce that Linda Lawrence from Bella Bead will also be teaching at BBO! Check out the schedule for the months of January, February and March to see her classes in PMC, felting, and an earring party class.
Tucson 2010: It’s almost here! Wende and I will be in Tucson for two weeks buying new items for BBO. We leave on January 28th and return on February 11th. And yes, we will have our annual BBO Tucson Trunk Show. Check back on the website for more details and dates for this.
Nirvana Bead Trunk Show is still here. We will send it back (or what’s left of it!) on Monday, December 7th.
Wednesday Ladies’ Night Out: We hear lots of laughter on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30 when fellow beaders get together at BBO to share ideas and help each other with projects. Come join us some Wednesday night – it’s a ton of fun. Also, don’t forget that the first Wednesday evening of every month, we have Massage Night – proceeds go to Human Touch Initiative.
New Holiday Hours: We will close early at 2:00 pm Thursday, December 24th and December 31st. We will be closed on Friday, December 25th for Christmas. We are open on Sundays from noon-4pm throughout the holiday season.
Parking: Please remember that our immediate neighbors are not happy with us parking in their lots (unless they are closed). We have more parking behind the store and, as long as we don’t block the driveway, there is parking along the right side of our building. See you soon!
